Carlos Ghosn, chief executive of Nissan Motor and Renault SA, said the U.S. new-vehicle market will rise one to two percent this year. Ghosn was at the New York International Auto Show introducing Nissan’s Maxima full-size sedan, which goes on sale soon in the U.S. Ghosn said he is open to the possibility of working with Daimler AG on new pickup trucks. Ghosn said the Renault Nissan Alliance will continue to maintain its presence in Russia, despite political and economic issues. Ghosn said economic turmoil will present an opportunity to localize more parts suppliers. As for other international markets, Ghosn said Nissan is seeing some weakness in Japan and Brazil as well.
