Markets reopen after the Easter long weekend. Here’s what to watch in the week beginning April 6th. On Monday, markets will have a delayed reaction to Friday’s jobs report after markets closed for the Good Friday public holiday. On the economic calendar, we have the March non-manufacturing survey on Monday and the Labor Department’s JOLTS report for February on Tuesday. The release of minutes from the Fed’s March meeting on Wednesday afternoon will give a more in-depth look at their line of thinking on rate hikes. The earnings season gets well and truly underway with unofficial season starter Alcoa reporting Wednesday after the bell.
