A wave of retailers are reporting their latest quarterly results — and coming in mixed after the harsh winter weather prompted a 0.4% drop in U.S. retail sales last month, according to the Commerce Department. Results include missed sales expectations from Target, in-line profit from Lowe’s, and weaker-than-expected earnings from TJMaxx. However, TheStreet’s Jim Cramer says if you look a little deeper, there’s reason to be hopeful about the retail space this spring. In fact, both Abercrombie & Fitch and Barnes & Noble issued reports with an optimistic tone.
