Jim Cramer is a big fan of Qualcomm’s deal to buy NXP Semiconductors , calling it “brilliant,” and he says Qualcomm stock can go much higher from here. Qualcomm is acquiring NXP for $39 billion, it what is the biggest semiconductor deal ever. He says the deal enables Qualcomm to expand from being a company focused on semiconductors to one that also focuses on the internet of things. NXP makes chips for the automotive industry. Cramer also points out Broadcom is another company that broadened its business line.
