Driving in the area where the Ambassador Bridge links the U.S. to Canada from Detroit can be tricky with confusing signage. But for immigrants without legal status, a wrong turn into the bridge’s toll plaza can lead to detention. Rep. Rashida Tlaib says since January more than 200 people have been detained there and over 90% got there by mistake. NPR immigration correspondent Jasmine Garsd talks with NBC News’ Gadi Schwartz about what happens next for people detained at that border.
