One can’t say Hasbro’s popular Nerf brand doesn’t make ridiculously fun toys for children. First came the introduction earlier this year of several high-powered, cool-looking new blasters. Then, Nerf dropped the $249.99 Battle Racer peddle kart in May. The kart holds up to four blasters and extra projectiles, not to mention donning two cupholers to quench the thirst of five-year-olds locked in grueling Nerf battles. We tested out the product and found it well made, easy to maneuver and likely a provider of hours of fun for those aged four to 10. Now, with the holiday season shopping rush about to kick into high gear Nerf has kept the year of fun releases going by introducing the Nerf N-Strike Elite TerraScout RC Drone. While a mouthful to say, the tank-like-looking toy holds a blaster and shoots off up to 18 foam projectiles by simply tapping a button on a controller that features a small LCD screen. The TerraScout also records 720p video that could be played back by downloading data from an SD memory card. Total cost for this bundle of fun, which will go on sale in October exclusively at toy retailer
