Happy Halloween! From costumes to candy, it’s a holiday we know many of you look forward to every year but did you ever wonder how this spooky day came about? We take a look inside the cauldron to learn whether witches are real or not and dive into the history behind this spooktacular holiday. Plus, it’s that time of year again to fall back! We’ll turn the clocks back one hour on November 3rd because daylight saving time is ending. We take a look into the history behind daylight saving time, the reason why we do this and offer some helpful tips on what you can do at home to adjust to the time change. A kids guide to voting: We break down how the next president of the United States is chosen by explaining the Electoral College and the part it plays on Election Day. Also, In 2020 a group of third grade students in Washington, D.C. used their creativity to help encourage people to get out and vote. This year, those same students, now sixth graders, are once again helping to get the vote out by writing nearly 1,500 postcards to voters! Finally, hitting out of the park, we’re at the World Series where the Los Angeles Dodgers and New York Yankees played against each other. Some of the best players in baseball like All-Star, Mookie Betts and Oswaldo Cabrera speak with our Kids Correspondent about baseball and the advice they would give to kids and their younger selves.
