Steve Jobs changed over the course of his career so previous biographies and movies often do not provide a complete picture of the visionary Apple CEO, said Rick Tetzeli, co-author of ‘Becoming Steve Jobs.’ Tetzeli added that even Apple employees that were fired by Jobs fondly talk about him in the present tense because the relationship was so deep. He said many Apple employees still want credit for their achievements and a number of them said the key to dealing with Jobs at the time was to ‘listen through the yelling’ in order to achieve great work. Finally, Tetzeli said Jobs was more than a savvy marketer, although there will always be engineers that will criticize his legacy as a true technology expert.
