iOS is getting its biggest redesign in more than a decade.
Transcript:
Apple’s annual World Wide Developers Conference has officially kicked off and while nothing jaw-dropping has been unveiled – the company did make a few waves. The iPhone maker announced that its next software upgrade will change the way all of your Apple devices look.
Dubbed “Liquid Glass” – Apple will be implementing its first big iOS redesign in more than a decade. As the name suggests, the interface on your iPhone, iPad, MacBook – and even your Vision Pro headset will have a glass-like look. There will also be new animations, including those when answering a phone call.
However, the start of WWDC was also met with some disappointment from Apple fans, analysts and investors alike. After last year’s unveiling of Apple Intelligence, many were hoping for another AI update. However, Apple’s head of software said the company’s work on artificial intelligence needed “more time.”
Shares of Apple dropped 1.2% on the opening day of the conference.
