An airline’s number one job may be to get people from Point A to Point B safely, but in recent years, connecting with customers through social media has become a big priority. American Airlines is the top U.S. airline when it comes to social media, topping the industry in both Facebook and Twitter usage, according to a new survey from Engagement Lab. United Airlines, is good at Twitter, ranking second, but doesn’t even make the top 10 in Facebook usage. Delta is third at Facebook, and sixth at Twitter. Some other notable names on Twitter were…Alaska, JetBlue, Southwest, and Virgin America. And on Facebook…Hawaiian, Sun Country, Southwest, Alaska and JetBlue.
