For Wednesday, May 20 we outline the day’s notable earnings and key economic data to watch on Wall Street. More companies, including some big retailers, are scheduled to release their latest quarterly financial results. We note earnings from Target (TGT), Lowe’s Companies (LOW), Staples (SPLS), Salesforce (CRM), L Brands (LB), and Williams-Sonoma (WSM). Target is scheduled to report its first quarter earnings after the market closes. TheStreet’s Jim Cramer is expecting another positive progress report from the big box retailer. Wall Street calls for a profit of a dollar and $0.03 cents a share on revenue of about $17 billion for the quarter. On to the economic calendar, we highlight mortgage applications, the EIA petroleum status report and the FOMC meeting minutes. TheStreet’s Kurumi Fukushima reports in New York.
