Four million current and former federal employees, from nearly every government agency, might have had their personal information stolen by Chinese hackers, U.S. investigators said. U.S. officials believe this could be the biggest breach ever of the government’s computer networks. China called the allegation irresponsible. Zumiez (ZUMZ) issued disappointing financial projections for the May quarter citing domestic weakness, even as growth in Europe continued. The teen-apparel retailer said sales at established stores, a key metric that looks at sales across stores open for at least a year along with online sales, are expected to fall 3% to 5%. VeriFone Systems (PAY) swung to a profit as the electronic-payments-equipment company benefited from strong revenue growth in North America during the quarter ended in April.The company has been benefiting from a shift to chip-embedded credit and debit cards as issuers aim to improve security, as well as technology used in mobile payments through services like Apple Pay.
