The top CEOs in the U.S. are usually ranked according to company performance and returns generated for investors. But what do the employees think? Glassdoor has just released its annual ranking based on anonymous feedback from company workers. So who was the best in class? Coming in at number 5 is Hugh Grant of Monsanto (MON), who received a 95% rating on Glassdoor. The Scottish executive has been CEO of the agriculture products company for 12 years and is 57 years old. At number 4 is Scott Scherr, founder, president and CEO of The Ultimate Software Group (ULTI). Scherr is 62 years old and established the cloud based human resources and payroll software company in 1990. It now has a market cap of $4.5 billion. At Number 3 is Facebook (FB) CEO Mark Zuckerberg who founded the social network giant back in 2004. The hoodie wearing CEO prides himself on being approachable and down to earth. Coming in at Number 2 is Mark Parker, CEO of Nike (NKE). Parker received a 97 percent rating on Glassdoor and is a longtime veteran of the global sports brand, becoming CEO back in 2006. And taking the number one spot with the best employee rating is Larry Page, Google (GOOG) co-founder and CEO. Described by his employees as ‘goofy, brilliant and likable’ the computer scientist knocked LinkedIn (LNKD) CEO Jeff Weiner from last year’s top spot.
