U.S. stocks opened higher Thursday despite time running out for Athens to reach a debt deal with its international creditors. European finance ministers and leaders resumed talks in Brussels aimed at preventing Greece from defaulting on its loans and exiting the eurozone. The chain is linking up with Universal Music Group in a partnership in which some of the music conglomerate’s top stars will perform at Marriott hotels, as well as other branding opportunities. Dating websites Match.com and Tinder are preparing to be spun off from parent company, IAC Interactive (IACI), and go public. In the most recent quarter, Match.com accounted for $240 million of IAC Interactive’s $772 million in total revenue. Weekly jobless claims rose 2000 to 271,000 for the 16th consecutive week below 300,000.
