There’s one story today and it’s Greece. A global sell-off is happening in stocks as the Greek debt situation is going from bad to worse. Lines formed at ATM’s in Greece over the weekend and are closed today. Greek banks and the Athens Stock Exchange is also closed as Greece tries to prevent a financial collapse. General Electric (GE) has agreed to sell it’s U.S. Mexico, Australia and New Zealand fleet businesses for $6.9 billion as it gradually exits its banking business. Papa John’s (PZZA) is spending $100 million a year to eliminate artificial ingredients and other additives from its menu, according to Bloomberg. Papa John’s is focusing on 14 ingredients including corn syrup, artificial colors and preservatives. Today, a U.S. Bankruptcy Judge is expected to approve a $1.28 billion settlement between Barclays and Lehman Brothers related to its purchase during the financial collapse in 2008 and 2009.
