Walgreens Boots Alliance (WBA) is set to report earnings for its third quarter of 2015 before the bell on Thursday, July 9th. According to Bloomberg, the biggest drug retailing chain in the U.S. is expected to report earnings of $0.87 per share, which would be a four percent decrease from the same period last year. Walgreens is expected to earn $29.67 billion in revenue for the quarter. After its last earnings call, the company alerted investors that a lot of initiatives would be taking effect which should come into play this time around. Closing 200 stores around the U.S. and reorganizing some corporate operations is expected to streamline some processes within the company and result in some cost saving. Walgreens also planned to switch its focus from drug sales to beauty in order to capture some higher margins on makeup and other beauty products.
