Netflix (NFLX) will push ahead with its development of original content and won’t renew its contract with cable movie channel Epix when its partnership deal ends in September. The video streaming channel signed a deal with Epix worth around $1 billion back in 2010 but is now focusing on making its own movies and expanding into global markets. Netflix customers will no longer be able to watch movies including ‘The Hunger Games: Catching Fire’ or Brad Pitt’s ‘World War Z.’ But thanks to some new licensing agreements Netflix viewers will now have exclusive viewing of new Disney (DIS) films following their cinematic release.
