It’s here. It’s Fed Week. There is still significant debate about if the Federal Reserve will raise interest rates at the meeting later this week. The growing sentiment on Wall Street is that the Governors will not. It is a two day meeting this time, wrapping up with the interest rate decision on Thursday afternoon. Early data suggest that Apple (AAPL) is selling out of the iphone 6s in China. According to the iphone inventory blog, which tracks the back order status of the various iphone models by way of screen shots of Apple’s estimated wait times as displayed on the Apple store website. The wait time for the big screen iPhone 6S plus in china is running at 3 to 4 weeks. It’s 2 to 3 weeks for the 6S. The rose gold color appears to be an early fan favorite. Alibaba (BABA) is lashing out against Barron’s cover article over the weekend saying its stock could fall another 50%. Alibaba has published a letter on its website addressing what it believes are inconsistencies and reliance on flawed data in the Barron’s analysis.
