The NASDAQ launches its San Francisco based Entrepreneurship Center in the city’s South Financial District. General Electric (GE) agreed to sell its private equity investment group to French alternative asset manager Ardian for about $500 million. The decision largely completes GE’s withdrawal from the alternative investment field. Reuters reports that Monsanto (MON) is pivoting after its failed bid to buy Syngenta and will focus on big data.
