Apple (AAPL) has made a new acquisition. The tech giant has bought U.K based startup Perceptio, an artificial intelligence company which specializes in image recognition systems and deep learning. Terms of the deal have not been released but Apple announced that the software startup will be used to help develop the learning capacity of voice assistant Siri. Perceptio has been developing smartphone systems that don’t need to share as much user data, which would allow Apple to continue developing their voice assistant without compromising its user privacy policy. It’s the second artificial intelligence purchase Apple has made recently. The company has just acquired another UK based startup called VocaliQ which helps people and computers hold more natural conversations.
