Stocks rocketed higher in the final hour of trading Tuesday as investors showed optimism ahead of a back-loaded half of the week. Both the ECB and OPEC will have meetings later this week, while the all-important November jobs report will be released on Friday. Sales of Volkswagen (VLKAY) models in the U.S. plunged almost 25% in November as the automaker continued to suffer the fallout from its emissions cheating scandal. Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) jumped after announcing an expanded partnership with Microsoft (MSFT). As part of the deal, Microsoft’s Azure will serve as a preferred platform for HPE customers, while HPE cloud infrastructure will be used by Microsoft customers.
