Hollywood movie studios are betting big on comic books in 2016. Here’s a look at some of the most anticipated releases coming next year. ‘Deadpool’, based on the Marvel comic, stars Ryan Reynolds as the anti-hero character with accelerated healing powers. ‘Batman vs Superman: Dawn of Justice’, has an estimated budget of around $400 million and will mark Ben Affleck’s Batman debut. ‘Captain America: Civil War’, stars Robert Downey Jr. and Chris Evans. ‘X-Men: Apocalypse’ starring Jennifer Lawrence and Michael Fassbender is the 9th installment in the X-Men movie franchise. Megan Fox will star in ‘Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows’. Late in the year, Fox will release ‘Gambit’, starring Channing Tatum as the explosive Marvel character.
