Buick unveiled a sporty concept coupe at a splashy event in Detroit Sunday evening. The Avista isn’t scheduled for production at this time, but met with rave reviews among industry observers attending the event. The General Motors (GM) brand also debuted the Buick Envision, a Chinese made crossover that will soon be sold in the U.S. Buick sold 140,000 Envisions in China in 2015, but doesn’t expect to sell that many in the U.S., according to Duncan Aldred, who heads up the Buick brand. The launches are part of Buick’s plan to reinvigorate sales, which were disappointing in the U.S. last year. Aldred believes the brand will see sales increases in 2016.
