The Federal Open Market Committee is widely expected to stand pat on interest rates when it wraps up its 2-day meeting. The Federal Reserve statement will be closely watched for clues about the Central Bank’s views on the economic backdrop and in particular, China. Apple (AAPL) delivered its 2015 holiday sales but the iPhone business may have peaked. Apple sold fewer iPhones than expected in the latest quarter, seeing its slowest ever growth in shipments. Other products didn’t pick up the slack either. The iPad tablet dropped 25% from a year earlier, while Mac computers declined 4%. Republican Presidential front runner Donald Trump says he will skip the GOP debate tomorrow night. He says he will not participate in the debate after he claims he was mistreated by Fox News Channel in a press release. Trump says he hold a rally in Iowa for the Wounded Warriors program instead.
