On Tuesday Feb. 2, investors will have several earnings reports to digest including one from Yahoo!. The company is widely expected to unveil a cost-cutting plan. Before the opening bell, investors will also get numbers from Exxon Mobil (XOM), Pfizer (PFE) and Dow Chemical (DOW). Then after the markets close, they’ll hear from Gilead Sciences (GILD) and Yahoo! (YHOO). The Internet company has been the focus of Wall Street in recent months, under pressure from investors to make significant changes. Last month, activist shareholder Starboard Value LP wrote a letter to the board, urging the search engine giant to overhaul its management, board, and business strategy. During the earnings call, the company is expected to announce job cuts of up to 15%. TheStreet’s U-Jin Lee reports from Wall Street.
