TheStreet’s Jim Cramer says it’s time to stop talking about Donald Trump and to begin listening to what he’s saying about trade and policies that could impact American corporations. ‘He talked about protectionism, it would be a major change for the country. And I just think people aren’t talking about this. All they care about is the horserace,’ said Cramer. ‘It’s time we stop talking about who won Ohio…start talking about what Trump says.’ Cramer says Trump has talked about specific corporate events, such as saying he’ll force Apple (AAPL) to manufacture cellphones in the U.S. Cramer said Trump has talked about companies moving operations overseas or taking advantage of the tax inversions, mentioning examples such as United Technologies (UTX), Eaton (ETN), Pfizer (PFE) and Allergan (AGN). ‘I’m not saying that Trump’s wrong, I think he’s right on the globalization deals. We’ve given away a huge number of American jobs,’ said Cramer. ‘I’m just saying that his actions would make the stock market very different.’ Cramer is portfolio manager of Action Alerts PLUS.
