Shares of the Microsoft were higher Tuesday morning following news that it sold nearly $20 billion of debt to fund its takeover of social professional network LinkedIn . Microsoft issued $19.75 billion of debt with seven maturities, the Financial Times reported. In June, the software maker agreed to acquire LinkedIn for $26 billion. Microsoft expects the deal to close by the end of this year.
