Shares of Weight Watchers International were lower Tuesday after the company announced that CEO James Chambers is stepping down. Chambers, who has run the weight-loss company for the past three years, is resigning effective September 30. In the interim, a three-person committee will take on the office of the CEO. The board, which includes Oprah Winfrey, has established a committee to search for a permanent CEO. Weight Watchers shares have lost half of their value since the beginning of the year.
