5 people have been taken into custody near the Verrazano bridge in New York city and are reportedly being questioned about the weekend bombings in Manhattan and New Jersey. Another explosion happened overnight in Elizabeth, New Jersey when a pipe bomb was detonated by a police robot. Over the weekend, a bomb exploded in a garbage can in New Jersey and another bomb exploded in the Chelsea neighborhood of Manhattan. The much-ballyhooed meeting of the Federal Reserve is finally here-almost. It happens Tuesday and Wednesday this week. Most economists don’t believe any interest rate hike will come from this week’s meeting as the election is too close and the economy is still shaky. HBO and FX are sharing the Emmy glow today. The People v. O.J. Simpson, a limited series on FX, was the most celebrates program of the year at the annual Emmy awards ceremony. HBO’s ‘Game of Thrones’ made history with 3 wins. It’s now won 38 Emmy’s surpassing the previous record held by ‘Frazier’.
