Money managers will watch for any surprises about taxes, trade and business regulations from tonight’s first presidential debate. Particular sectors, like biotech, could respond positively if its perceived that Republican Donald Trump had a better performance. Democrat Hillary Clinton has talked of limits on drug prices, if elected. Deutsche Bank (DB) shares fell to a record low on word that German Chancellor Angela Merkel won’t help the troubled bank with its legal problems in the United States. Focus, a German weekly news magazine published in Munich, said Merkel had ruled out help. The U.S. Department of Justice said the bank should pay $14 billion to settle its ongoing U.S. investigations into its mortgage business. McDonald’s (MCD) will begin testing today a breakfast Happy Meal at restaurants in Tulsa. The addition of a breakfast would be the first major new choice for the Happy Meal in more than 3 decades.
