Plus, President Trump is threatening to withdraw the nomination of acting Attorney General Todd Blanche. It comes as two Republican senators are opposing his nomination. And wildfires are now burning in more European countries, including the United Kingdom. And in France, one of its most famous residents, George Clooney, was forced to evacuate. Plus, Ryder Williams, the 16-year-old lifeguard credited with saving a boy off California’s Santa Cruz coast is speaking out for the first time. Williams says he was at the waterline when he saw a child lose his footing. The father of the boy rescued tells NBC News he is eternally grateful to Williams. And in our series “The Cost of Denial,” NBC News’ Stephanie Gosk reports on the Oregon mother who had to fight for approval to treat the near constant pain she was in due to a common complication many women face following pregnancy.
