The Empire strikes back in the new movie “Rogue One: A Star Wars Story” and Nissan is going along for the ride. The automaker launches a new Star Wars-themed promotional campaign on Monday for its 2017 Rogue compact SUV. The TV ad features a driver speeding by various Star Wars characters. Jeremy Tucker, who heads up marketing efforts for Nissan, explained the campaign was a natural fit. Nissan is experiencing strong sales as of late, with a gain in September even as some had forecast a decline. Rogue sales set records last month, and Tucker says the company expects Rogue will be Nissan’s number one selling model this month.
