Two U.S. Army soldiers and an American civilian interpreter were killed in Syria, with President Donald Trump saying the U.S. will “retaliate” following the attack by a lone Islamic State group gunman. The attack happened in the city of Palmyra, where an American unit was taking part in a “key leader meeting.” Three U.S. soldiers were also wounded in the attack.
