The ads look real and the apartments are enticing, but often the exciting videos would-be-renters find on social media are for deals that are in fact too good to be true. The scam: to lure renters in and get them to pay up front fees for access to apartments they’ll never really see. NBC News Vicky Nguyen reports on how to make sure you don’t fall victim.
