The telecom giant has agreed to a $177 million settlement following two major data breaches.
The first breach exposed Social Security numbers and personal info of 73 million-plus customers and circulated it on the dark web.The second leaked call and text records of nearly all customers, which were downloaded onto a third-party platform.
Here’s how the payouts break down:
You could get up to $5000 if you can show losses linked to the first breach from 2019 or later.
And up to $2500 tied to the second. Documentation is needed for losses that occurred on or after April 14, 2024.
A customer affected by both breaches COULD be eligible for up to $7,500, but each claim must be documented separately.
