Tropical Storm Nate is expected to gain strength as it moves over the warm waters of the Gulf of Mexico this weekend. Models predict it will make landfall between Louisiana to Northwest Florida. As of Early Friday, Nate remains a tropical storm, but it could reach land as a Category 1 hurricane. The Storm has moved across parts of Mexico and the National Hurricane Center says it is now “heading for the northwestern Caribbean Sea and the Gulf of Mexico in a hurry.” The Storm has maximum sustained winds of 45 mph, but is expected to grow stronger over the next few days.
