Reem Zeidan walked with two of her children for hours overnight to get to an aid distribution site in Gaza before her family said Israeli soldiers shot her in the head. NBC News was not able to independently verify the family’s account, though the IDF acknowledged that an incident had occurred that day in which forces fired shots “near” people they said were deviating from “designated access routes” to aid sites.
