Indiana’s Lieutenant Governor Micah Beckwith is receiving backlash after he shared a controversial opinion about the Three-Fifths Compromise, on his X account. The compromise, which was included in the U.S constitution in 1787, counted enslaved people as three-fifths of a person for congressional representation.
