With record-high egg prices still plaguing wallets, one company is trying to put a spin on an Easter tradition. Jet-Puffed has released a marshmallow-dying kit to try and draw in customers to color something else for Easter this year.
The kit, which costs $1.99, comes with 6 vibrant colorings, 3 bright pens, an egg crate, tongs, and a bag of marshmallows. A dozen eggs, meanwhile, has an average price of more than $6.
In a press release, Jet-Puffed said the kit was created so parents could “search for creative and budget-friendly alternatives to keep the time-honored tradition alive without breaking the bank.” The kit is being sold exclusively on Walmart’s website, and will be re-stocked daily.
As for the eggs — avian flu outbreaks led to the deaths of more than 30 million egg-laying birds, causing prices to skyrocket. However, those outbreaks have now largely been contained
