A Connecticut man known only as “S” is speaking out for the first time after escaping more than two decades of captivity. Authorities say his stepmother pulled him out of school at age 11 and kept him isolated until earlier this year, when he set a fire that led to his rescue. Now 32, S says adopting a new name marks the beginning of reclaiming his life and freedom.
