Workwize Secures Million in Series A Funding to Revolutionize IT Asset Management with AI Automation
ShareShareShareShareShare

Workwize, a global leader in IT hardware asset management, has raised an impressive $13 million in Series A funding to fuel its vision of fully automating the IT equipment lifecycle. Led by Klass Capital, with support from Peak and the Graduate Entrepreneur Fund, this funding round positions Workwize as a transformative force in the IT industry. The company aims to use the capital to enhance its AI-driven automation platform and establish a U.S. office in early 2025.

“IT teams worldwide are overwhelmed by inefficiencies in managing equipment for distributed teams,” said Michiel Meyer, CEO and co-founder of Workwize. “This investment enables us to shrink IT workflows from hours to minutes through smarter automation. Our goal is a barrier-free future where IT management is effortless.”

The Problem: Inefficient IT Asset Management for Global Teams

Modern businesses rely on distributed workforces, yet IT departments remain bogged down by repetitive, manual tasks. Managing procurement, deployment, maintenance, retrieval, and disposal of IT assets across geographies often requires juggling multiple vendors, navigating complex logistics, and meeting compliance standards.

Workwize’s recent survey of over 150 enterprises revealed that 48% of IT leaders rank operational efficiency and automation as their top priorities. Traditional asset management systems fail to address these needs, relying heavily on manual interventions that cost IT teams precious hours and productivity.

The Solution: AI-Powered IT Lifecycle Automation

Workwize’s platform is a game-changer. By integrating advanced AI and automation, the platform eliminates the manual workload traditionally associated with IT asset management. Key features include:

  1. End-to-End Automation: From procurement to disposal, Workwize automates the entire lifecycle of IT assets. For example, if an overseas employee requires a laptop repair, Workwize handles shipping, repair coordination, and deployment of a replacement—all without human intervention.
  2. AI-Driven Insights: Workwize’s platform analyzes asset usage and predicts maintenance needs, helping organizations optimize resource allocation and reduce downtime.
  3. Zero-Touch Deployment: Devices arrive pre-configured with Mobile Device Management (MDM) integration, ensuring they’re secure and ready to use straight out of the box.
  4. Sustainability and Compliance: The platform prioritizes eco-friendly disposal methods such as recycling and repurposing, while maintaining compliance with ISO standards and GDPR guidelines.

This approach reduces IT management time from an average of 27 hours to just 10 minutes per employee, allowing IT teams to focus on strategic initiatives rather than mundane tasks.

A Track Record of Success

Since its founding in 2021, Workwize has managed over 100,000 devices across more than 100 countries, serving clients such as Adyen, Elastic, EQT, and HelloFresh. The platform has facilitated over 22,000 on- and offboardings, saving IT managers more than 80,000 hours through automated workflows.

For instance, Lepaya, a fast-growing customer, saved $44,000 annually and 400 hours per year on offboarding tasks by leveraging Workwize’s self-service portal and workflow automation.

Strengthening Global Operations

With the Series A funding, Workwize is poised to expand its global footprint. The upcoming U.S. office will serve as a hub for growth, and the company plans to double its headcount in 2025. This expansion reflects Workwize’s commitment to meeting the demands of a borderless business environment.

“Our investment in Workwize reflects a strong belief in its ability to revolutionize IT management for an increasingly global workforce,” said Will Anderson, Managing Partner at Klass Capital. “Workwize provides the efficiency and scalability modern enterprises need to thrive.”

AI at the Core of Innovation

Workwize’s competitive edge lies in its innovative use of AI to tackle the most pressing challenges in IT management:

  • Proactive Maintenance: AI-driven analytics identify potential hardware issues before they occur, reducing downtime and repair costs.
  • Smart Inventory Management: Real-time tracking of assets ensures full visibility into device locations, usage, and lifecycle stages.
  • Automated Onboarding and Offboarding: Integration with HR systems like Active Directory and SCIM triggers automatic equipment deployment for new hires and locks devices upon employee departure.
  • Global Vendor Network: AI optimizes vendor selection, ensuring fast delivery of IT assets to any location in as little as five days.

These capabilities allow companies to scale IT operations seamlessly, even as they expand across continents.

Sustainability at the Forefront

In addition to efficiency, Workwize emphasizes environmental responsibility. The platform enables organizations to repurpose outdated devices, reducing e-waste. Certified processes for wiping, recycling, and reselling IT assets ensure that sustainability goals align with operational needs.

“Our goal is not just to simplify IT management but to make it more sustainable,” said Meyer. “Workwize helps companies achieve both operational excellence and environmental accountability.”

A Vision for the Future

As Workwize continues to grow, its focus remains on pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in IT management. By integrating AI and automation into every aspect of its platform, the company is setting a new standard for global IT operations.

The Series A funding marks a significant milestone in Workwize’s journey, but it’s just the beginning. With a proven track record, a growing client base, and bold plans for expansion, Workwize is well on its way to becoming the go-to platform for IT asset management worldwide.
