Women need a place where they can grow both professionally and personally, says Cate Luzio, founder and CEO of Luminary, a collaborative space for women.
Luzio spent over 20 years in financial services, including over over six years at JPMorgan as managing director and head of multinational corporate banking across Europe, the Middle East & Africa.
She ended her banking career as executive vice president and global head of multinational corporate banking at HSBC, where she was responsible for roughly $2 billion in revenue across 55 countries.
And throughout her travels, she noticed a glaring similarity — not just the the lack of women at the top — but the lack of women in the middle.
That realization lead her to self-fund – yes, self-fund her latest project, Luminary, a collaboration hub for women who are passionate about professional development and expanding their networks.
Opening in November 2018, Luminary will give members access to over 15,000 square feet of communal working and social space and career programming.
