President Joe Biden urged residents in the path of Hurricane Milton to evacuate and listen to local officials. Emergency declarations have been approved and the U.S. defense secretary positioned rescue teams close to the storm. Biden also called the lies surrounding Hurricane Helene aftermath “un-American” and said they are “harmful” to those who need assistance.
