Donald Trump Jr. began his convention speech addressing the assassination attempt on his father, saying that the former president came under “literal fire.” He paid tribute to the firefighter that lost his life and praised how his father responded to the shooting. He added that following the shooting, the world saw “a spirit that could never be broken.”
