16-year old Maya Merhige is raising awareness for cancer research with the non-profit Swim Across America. She earned the triple crown of open water swimming by taking on the English Channel, Catalina Channel and the swim around Manhattan Island. Merhige shares her passion for swimming to “inspire” others.
