A 22-year-old man from Brooklyn, New York, was charged with assault as a hate crime after police said he yelled “Free Palestine” and “Do you want to die?” before stabbing a young man near a synagogue. It’s just the latest of several alleged hate crimes, including antisemitism and Islamophobia, since the Israel-Hamas war began. NBC News’ Erin McLaughlin has the details.
