NBC News’ Peter Alexander sat down with his sister Rebecca Alexander to raise awareness for Usher syndrome, a disorder that causes hearing and vision loss. Alexander spoke about her experience with the condition telling her brother, “I can’t control the fact that I’m going deaf and blind but I can control how I take care of my body.”
