Oftentimes good news stories don’t get enough attention as the bad so we highlight some of our favorite heartwarming stories. Meet preschool teacher Carissa Fisher who surprised her former student Ezra with the ultimate gift. After learning her liver was a match she decided to donate part of hers to help save Ezra’s life. Erik Lake and his father Tom Lake have spent hundreds of hours flying together as co-pilots. For Tom’s final flight before his retirement, his son arranged an unforgettable goodbye. Then, Heithem El-Hodiri and Heidi Baxter were complete strangers whose only connection was a shared love of the Columbus Crew soccer club–that is, until Baxter donated a kidney to El-Hodiri when he was sick and in need.
