Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin was hospitalized for complications from a surgical procedure to treat prostate cancer, according to a statement from Walter Reed Medical Center. Defense officials say he hid his illness from top Pentagon officials and the White House says President Biden wasn’t made aware until today. NBC News’ Courtney Kube reports.
