Meta has released two new versions of its Llama AI model – Llama 3 8B and Llama 3 70B. These models represent a significant advancement in performance compared to the previous Llama 2 models. The Llama 3 models are larger and more capable, with the 70B version having 70 billion parameters compared to the 8 billion in the smaller 8B version. Meta claims these are among the best open-source AI models available
